Happy Birthday Ruben Salazar

Today we celebrate the birthday of Rubén Salazar, the namesake of our school and a powerful voice for truth, justice, and the Chicano community.

As a journalist, Salazar reported on the struggles and stories of Mexican Americans in Los Angeles and gave a voice to communities that were often ignored. His courage and commitment to honest reporting continue to inspire our students every day at Ruben Salazar High School.

His legacy reminds us that telling the truth and standing up for our communities can change history.
Happy Birthday, Ruben Salazar. Your voice still echoes in our classrooms and our community.
